This new website marks the beginning of some wonderful and amazing changes that God is bringing to the Village Christian Academy family.  The most important is clearly seen in our school motto.  You will see this reflected in everything we do at VCA.  For many years our motto has been “Committed to God…. Committed to Excellence.”  While this is certainly true of VCA it doesn’t fully encompass the vision that the founders had for our school.  You see, there can be no excellence apart from Jesus Christ.  God is perfect, therefore, everything He does, He does perfectly.  Being fully committed to God is being committed to excellence and it is simply impossible for any of us to be truly excellent without being fully committed to our Jesus.  The new motto reflects this truth: “Committed to Excellence in Jesus Christ.”  This motto is based upon
2 Peter 1:5-8:

“Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, (self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your, godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Our hearts desire is that our students will learn to excel in the excellence that comes only from the “true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  This is our primary goal and will be central to all that we do. 

I have no doubt that God has many wonderful things in store for the VCA Family.  All of us here at VCA are looking forward to lifting high the name of Jesus in our hallways, classrooms, chapels, events and every other thing that we do this year.  Welcome to a very wonderful school that is striving to faithfully serve and amazing God!  May the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ bless you greatly!
