Dear Village Christian Academy Family,

I am truly excited about all that God has in store for our school during the coming years.  He is an amazing and wonderful God and desires for each of us and our children to experience a very full and wonderful life (John 10:10).  This doesn’t begin in eternity, it began the day we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior and experienced the rebirth that only the Holy Spirit can bring.  If this has not yet occurred in your life, let me plead with you to quit whatever you are doing, acknowledge that apart from God you can do nothing (John 15:5), apologize to your creator for trying to do it on your own, thank Him for the forgiveness of sins that comes through Jesus’ death on the cross in your stead, and allow Him to take full control of your life.  At that moment God will take your life and begin to do amazing and wonderful things.  Truly, “Eye has not seen and ear has not heard and which have not entered the heart of man all, that God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Cor. 2:9)!"

If you have experienced the rebirth that I am speaking of yet are currently experiencing a life that is anything but abundant let me remind you that our wonderful God never intended for you to experience the joy and excitement of your salvation and then go back to life as it was before.  God is a perfect and eternal and everything He does, He does perfectly.  This includes our salvation.   That same joy, excitement and peace that you experienced was intended to continue through all of eternity.  If this is illusive to us, it isn’t because God somehow changed, or that He has failed in keeping His promises to us.  It is that we have messed things up.  The solution is really quite simple.  In Psalms 51:12, the Psalmist cried out to God pleading with Him to “restore unto me the joy of my salvation.”  How exciting!  We can experience that joy again!  Just like before, we need to apologize to God for thinking that we could somehow live this life without completely depending upon Him, thank Him once again for His forgiveness, and let Him again have full control of your life.  It is my prayer that God will provide you with constant reminders of the Love that He has for you and His wonderful plans for your life (Jeremiah 29:11).  This is truly what we are all about at VCA.  We are striving for “Excellence in Jesus Christ” in all that we do.  It is our prayer that our children will realize that as they face the trials that life will bring, continual abidance in Christ is essential.  Regardless of their skills, talents, and accomplishments they can do nothing apart from Him (John 15:5). 

Jesus is EVERYTHING!  It is impossible to accomplish excellence in anything apart from Him.  I am excited about the opportunity to partner with you and your church in lifting high the name of Jesus in the life of your children through our words and our lives.  Please let me know if I can ever help you in this endeavor to raise up a generation that is fully committed to Him.
